Why Briefs exists

Not shorter. Less.

A thirty-minute review is not a better review. Most of it is throat-clearing, plot, and the reviewer thinking out loud. Briefs is the opposite bet: find what matters, cut what does not, and stop.

A brief answers one question. If you only have fifteen minutes, what do you actually need to know? The rest is left out on purpose.

How we work →
11:17average brief · ceiling 15:00
Why fifteen

Short enough to finish. Long enough to argue.

15:00

The ceiling

Nothing on Briefs runs longer. If a subject needs more than that, it becomes two briefs.

11:17

The average brief

Long enough to argue a thesis, short enough to finish in one sitting.

Chapters

The thinking, not the plot

What it argues, what works, what does not, who it is for. Chapters and takeaways you can read without pressing play.

Verdict

A straight answer

Each brief ends with one: is this worth your time. Yes, selectively, or no.

Languages

One brief, then the same brief again.

Every brief ships in English first. A second language is a second recording, not a subtitle track, which is why this table counts what exists rather than what is planned.

Briefs is live

Everything worth knowing, in a quarter hour. One network, ten subjects, and the first of them is open today.

The fifteen-minute ceiling

The limit is editorial, not technical. Here is what it forces, and what happens when a subject will not fit.

Every new brief, in your inbox.

The link, the chapters, and the one quote worth stealing. One email per brief, nothing else, and never before you have confirmed the address.
